Hello,
I'm doing a bit of research before I dive in to implementing Unattended for an upcoming 20 server migration. These systems will be a mix of Compaq DL380 G2s and DL360 G2s. I'm getting a lot of flack from the other SAs about this project, as they are under the impression that there's no way around using SmartStart to stand the systems up - the BIOS changes and the RAID controller setup seem to be the primary obstacle. Also, the RAID controller drivers seem to be *somewhere* on the SmartStart CD, but after tooling around this afternoon, I couldn't track them down but I know they're extracted to a 30 meg partition during the SmartStart installation. So, what I'd like to know is - has anyone managed to get around these obstacles and do they have any general tips that might help steer us in the right direction? I searched the archives and discovered a few references, but I'm still foggy about the initial path of setting up Unattended to handle these conditions. Thanks.
