I am using RedHat 9, but I know of no specific reason why 8.0 would
not work.

How did you move the file back to your laptop?

This is probably either a problem with RedHat 8 (broken mkisofs?) or
with whatever technology you used to move the file back to your laptop
(LF/CRLF problem?).  Or maybe just a bad CD.

The CVS directory is an artifact of our version control system.  It is
not used for anything on the ISO image.

In fact, it should not be there at all...  And I have fixed this for
the next release.  Not that this helps you :-).

It works for me and for other people.

What happens when you try to boot the CD, exactly?

Can you make your ISO image available for download somewhere and send
me a link (privately)?  I may have some time this weekend to take a
look at it.
