Hi all,
maybe someone finds this useful: I use batchfiles (one for each windows version) to iterate over all fiels of a given directory. For example i dont like to have to edit a file each time i want a registry-setting activated or not. This way it is as simple as copying the exported reg-file into a certain directory or renaming it to something like "xyz.reg.bak": in base.bat: todo.pl %%WINVER%%-config.bat for example scripts\winxpsp1-config.bat: z: cd scripts\reg_settings\winxpsp1\ for %%i in (*.reg) do echo %%i & regedit /s %%i which merges each reg.file from this directory into registry At first i thought this might be useful for your update-scripts as well, but then again you would loose the benefit from the prepare-script...
