I think you are wrong: Unattended does nothing. It depends on Samba 
(in case of a UNIX/Linux Server) or the builtin fileshare functions 
(in case of a windows server). Unattended only performs the initial 
magic on the target pc; the transfer of the os installation media 
(files) is done by Samba or WindowsServer.

And both Samba and Windows Server DEFINITELY scale with their 
hardware.
