I'd like to run a daemon/ask a web service regularly if newer versions
of applications I provide in my unattended Windows installation are
available. Sourceforge, for example, provides RSS feeds on new file
releases, which could be scanned automatically -- so, for
sourceforge-hosted apps, this would be easy. But how about other
applications? Does anyone know of any web sites that provide such a
service, or some program I can run on my own machine that looks for
updates? Any hints?
Regards,
-Harald
