If you check the batch file it is based in 2 parts. The first part loads the screen for say 8 hours. You would then do the rest of your install script (in the batch file I ping localhost). The final part would be the pskill line.

Hmmm, actually, you probably don't even need a stop, as long as you finish with a reboot (I can't imagine you not.) Thanks, Keith Davis Senior Office Automation Engineer Pegasus Solutions, Inc. The attached zip consists of: splash.au3 (the autoit3 script) splash.jpg (a sample screen) splash.txt (a batch file demonstrating its use ... renamed to .txt for over zealous mail sweeping servers) You will need to get yourself pskill from here: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PsKill.html How to use it: splash.au3 loads the splash screen for a ridiculous amount of time (set it for 8 hours if you like). Install whatever you want Use pskill last to kill the autoit3 exe file. See splash.bat for the example. In the script/batch file it assumes everything is at the root of c: I'm sure theres a better way within autoit to wait but I've used it for all of about an hour :) Plus I like the fact I can leave it up there permamently and use the unattended script to kill the process when I'm ready.
