Jeff, thank you for the information, but I am still having a problem. I follow the link and get cygwin downloaded and run into a problem when I try to run the ./configure for mtools-3.9.9.
I get the following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/mtools-3.9.9
$ ./configure
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no

checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
$ ./configure

configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
Now what?
Thank you!

Subject: Re: [Unattended] Unattended updates
Can someone please direct me to documentation/instructions on how to keep unattended updates (like all the ms updates) current on a Microsoft server, as opposed to a ?NIX server?
http://unattended.sourceforge.net/cygwin.html
after cygwin is installed you can run
./prepare
to fetch the packages mentioned in all the /scripts/* including the ms patches.
