Hello,

I've troubles installing the drivers for the USB Lego Mindstorm Tower in an useable fashion:

I've installed the drivers into C:\Pnp\lego, the path is in the OemPnpDriverPath, I run C:\Pnp\Lego\Setup.exe, which displays a box "Installed successful", but:

+ when an admin plugs in the USB Tower, the dialogue box appears "New hardware found", you can press OK to automatically search for the driver location and, finally, it works. (No access to the network possible that time.)

+ when a non-admin plugs in the Tower, one shall authentificate as admin a.s.o.

After the procedure, everytime someone plugs in the Tower, the tower works without problems. So, I need to plug in the tower into all hosts manually, in order to have the drivers installed :-(

Can you configure WinXP/SP2 to first try to automatically search for the drivers and, if that failed, prompt the user? I search around in MSKB and Group Policies, all I found is how to disable the driver search on Windows Update.

Bye,
