I just got a new IBM Thinkpad
X60 and I can’t get it to work L I can get as far as getting dosemu to run and do the initial copy of the setup files,
but after reboot it just sits there. I have checked the MBR with “ms-sys”
and I get back x86 boot loader, unknown type. I have tried rewriting a win2k/xp bootloader to the MBR and tried chainloading
from my grub boot cd, no dice. If I install from a windows cd it goes just fine… When using a cd
to install windows I can check the MBR and I get back Microsoft 2000/XP/2000
boot loader… Anyone have a X60
working with unattended or know what is going on? I have tried putting the sata controller in compatibility mode, disabling the “pre-desktop”
environment (restore partition) and disabling the security chip. -- System
