What version of VMWare? At one point, Workstation would appear to hang at
that point, but if you let it run it eventually starts copying the files.
I'm using vmware server. I left for lunch and it eventualy it started to
install as you said.
another confirm - did the same thing a few weeks ago and got the same
behaviour. Can't remember how long it took, but I think less than an hour,
maybe half that. Not sure.
