A/B Samba should not cause any problems. Having two DHCP servers serving
the same Subnet/VLAN will. This can cause a race condition where the
first server to respond to the DHCP request wins. If you have the
ability to create a "unattended" network on a separate VLAN where your
IT department does not have access to (no DHCP) then I would try to do
that.
C. The machine broadcasts a DHCP address request, it will take the first
address offered by the server. If that happens to be your IT departments
server, then the unattended install will fail.
D. ???
Good luck,
Bryan
