Hi Guys, Did anybody encounter a problem with putty and windows xp sp2 windows-kb913433-x86-enu.exe patch?
Unattended installation is looking for putty-0.59 on web/ftp but there you will find new version putty-0.60. (Checked CVS it looks like "ekot" edited putty.bat two month ago -- how can I reach him). I could modify putty.bat file but it would be much better if this change would go into unattended CVS tree so that tools/scripts-update pull correct file. Whom should I contact for this changes? So far I could not say that installation is unattended -- quite a few questions and a few errors with patches. What would be a procedure to commit required changes into CVS tree? How many people work on this project at this moment? I like idea (I hate MS Windows with monkey click Ok/Next/...) but so far could not get to work it smoothly. And installation is taking too long because of all restarting. I found that tools/prepare is very slow at this moment (I tried to pull all recent changes and just gave up on it). Is there a list of maintainers of this project to get idea what part of the project is supported by whom. Whom I should submit changes and how fast it will be integrated into the project? Could somebody refer me to document which could give answers on my questions. I work for university and we have quite a lot of Windows computers here. It would be nice to make it work "smoothly" and quick. So far, I was integrating Windows XP patches on CDROM and it saved quite a bit of time for installation. In case of labs where we have computers with exactly the same configurations we use "Norton Ghost" which reimages computers very quick. I was looking for project like "unattended" for some time and so far no simple solution. But I like that "unattended" is free software and that is allows to choose what packages to install.
