1. Better use HFSLIP instead, works for XP,WIN2K, WINSRV2003 ...

Directly slipstreams all updates and optional stuff (like WMP)
Excellent for WIN2K, slipstreams difficult stuff like DX9, IE6

Works for all languages!

2. yes and no - if you only have 2 or 3 different hardware combinations 
... better intergrate the drivers by hand!
