As I understand it, Unattended uses FreeDOS as its launching pad to kickstart
your Windows deployment. A Vista installation cannot be initiated from a
DOS-based session; instead WinPE v2.0 is required. I don't think it's feasible
to use Linux as an alternative but I've been proven wrong before.
Because of M$ licensing restrictions, Unattended would probably not be allowed
to bundle WinPE in its arsenal. Instead only tools and/or instruction how to
build your WinPE image to make it Unattended-compatible can be provided.
Search google for keywords pxelinux and vista for possible solutions.
