Is there anything special about the kernel config for the kernel on the boot
CD? I have a kernel config that works on a new Dell PC. I can install linux
on this thing. But the kernel unattended CD can't find the boot device. I
see that sda is not listed in /sys/block/. I figure that is because
something is missing from the kernel config. I tried poking around in the
kernel config but I didn't see anything obvious. Rather than poking and
hoping -- which takes a while because you have to recompile the kernel,
build the ISO, and write a CD -- I thought I'd try the kernel config that I
know works.
