I have used a script to (among other things) set up our proxy to a particular autoproxy using information from the following page. I just run a batch file with the necessary changes after the Firefox installation finishes (or as part of the same batch file that calls the Firefox install). http://www.int-evry.fr/s2ia/user/procacci/netscape/en/mozilla-autoconfig-en.html#htoc18 At one point I simply substituted 'defaultpref' for every instance of 'lockpref' because we don't have that strict an office environment (although perhaps we should). Generally these might be useful: http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=873 http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/MCD,_Mission_Control_Desktop_AKA_AutoConfig http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:2.0_Institutional_Deployment http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config If you need help on specifics, I could show you my (fairly short) script(s).
