Yes, the actual [non-textmode] driver installation is also necessary. For these, I usually extract the driver installer .exe using p7zip. On Windows, the 7-zip File Manager will also work. I just dump the necessary files (the .inf file, plus any that it references) into /i386/$oem$/$1/<system name>/
Where <system name> is is something like ZinoHD, or Vostro200; and unattended will print this system name in the list of options for drivers to install, if I choose it to ask me.
