I am really finding the book thought provoking. I wonder how many times I have said, "Does that make sense?" or " What would make sense?" to a student, and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about! Reading about other people's intellectual life has made me think about how important that really is and what it is. I have had many mentors who were far from intellectual, but were very wise. I wonder how much value we should place on the "intellectual." Nancy
