Watching a movie with my 7-year-old son last night had me thinking about "understanding". He asked questions throughout the movie. It about drove us crazy, but it was his way of understanding what was happening. I've also had second graders ask many questions during a read aloud. I think this is why discussion is important in our classrooms. Students need to be able to ask and think about their many questions. Cindy
