Jan No...I never heard this word before reading this book. I have been working this summer with a group of 8 cracker-jack reading specialists from my district on assessments and this word came up today. None of us had ever heard this word before reading Ellin's book. Now what I want to know is how you pronounce it....time to get out MY dictionary! :-) Jennifer PS. Now what is REALLY funny, is how attached we (this little group of reading specialists) have all become to the word 'fervent,' which was a new word for many of us also. We actually used it in our final recommendations document for our district.... LOL! :-) In a message dated 7/17/2008 11:24:27 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
Now I'm curious if any of you had ever heard this word before you read To Understand? Made me wonder how ignorant I am about reading. Jan **************Get fantasy football with free live scoring.
