Jennifer - When you go out on job interviews to become a school leader - take the thought with you that you are interviewing them (the Super and the school) as much as they are interviewing you. The Super and Central build the climate of the district and effect (affect??) the individual school's climate as much as the school principal. What I'm trying to say is to make sure that you want to work for them and they are at least accepting of new philosophies and ideas. Vision, leadership, learning communities, celebration of success...those are hallmarks of a truly great school and staff...are there any constructivist schools out there given today's climate of test scores?
