Well, not exactly. The chronicler is reporting what it would be appropriate
for the participants to have said. No claim of stenographic accuracy is
implied.

P.S. For those that want to practice their French, here is a broadcast on the Oath of Strasbourg. Not highly scientific, but pleasant and a good introduction.
Seems to work fine with Netscape, but I had problems with MSIE.
