I'm probably spoilt by Arabic software where you can just enter
ZWJ/ZWNJ. :-(

Using ZWJ for ligation is a not really a clean thing, though. Manual
ligation should be kept to the markup level. Give me a font with "ct"
in it and the option for turning automatic substitution on/off, and
I'll be happy. :-)

Is there a standard way to handle ZWJ/ZWNJ in sorting & searching? I
think in quite a lot of situations and/or scripts it would be feasible
just to ignore ZWJ (or give the user the choice to ignore it).
Especially in a Latin context.
