The flip side of this issue, which came up in the letter from the person who was just in Ouaga, is a question: what sort of African and other non-Western

People like me take an interest; and the Agence intergouvernmentale de la francophonie has joined the Consortium recently.

Canada and France (and Morocco) at the ISO level also take an interest and we have been in contact with the different centers mentioned by Don, sometimes for several years. We have also successfully proposed Tifinagh a major script used in a large part of Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, an oasis in Egypt, Mali, Niger and part of Burkina Faso,...).
