That would presume that Phoenician and Hebrew are the same script, Doug, which they are NOT.

We are discussing the issue of whether they are the same script or not, and on what grounds the UTC has decided (provisionally, because subject to ISO confirmation which is still under ballot) that they are not. It isn't exactly helpful to an argument to presuppose its conclusion.

By the way, I am not a font designer either. I am a linguist and translator with a software background.
