I have been wondering about new carbs to replace quadrajets on my Chevy 350 cu in engines. What was your experience with the new Edlebrock Marine Carbs?? These engines are 1970. I have owned the boat for 3 years and all I did to them was replace the exhaust manifolds and risers on the port engine. I also replaced the carbs with new Edlebrock marine carbs for the last run of the season and they have 130 miles on them. They run good. These are complete with heat exchangers, pumps, manifolds and risers. The port engine leaked - used about a quart of oil per trip. (approx. 150 miles) The starboard would go 2-3 trips before adding any. The reason I pulled them was to seal up the oil leaks as both started to leak from the rear main seals. I came across the diesels and decided to go that route as I have a very busy charter schedule. Transmissions are Velvet Drive1.52/1 ratio. New starboard is Model 10-18-004 which uses bearings instead of bushings. The port trans. has had nothing done to it so I was going to rebuild it this winter. I also have the old starboard trans. that needs rebuild. I'm asking $3000.00 for both engines $2000.00 for new Velvet Drive $1000.00 for working Velvet Drive $250.00 for non-working Velvet drive On Nov 10, 9:03 pm, "GREG HAYES" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Yes I am please respond with details.
