If the running lights are mounted to the side of the forward cabin trunk, I
have found these to be the cause of leaks into the galley and head porthole
windows.  On my 34 footer these lights are mounted about 3 feet towards the bow
from these port lights and I have had problems keeping them sealed until I
switched to a different set of runing lights. LED's from Australia, $38.00 a
pair through www.boatshop.com.au .   These covered the holes from the old
installation and sealed up much better with no leaks from them in over 3
years.  No light bulb changes either, which always broke the seal in the old
set of lights.

West Marine sells a liquid called Captain Creep. It is a white liquid about
like milk that sneaks in the seals around windows ect and then dry to seal any
leaks. I have used it for years and it really works well.
