If this is a retarded suggestion, forgive me, but why not have it shipped over water? The effort in removing the flybridge and re- attaching it would have to be valued in the low thousands in terms of time and effort (even if you do it yourself). I would think for that amount alone you could put it on a cargo ship heading through the Panama Canal to New Orleans or somewhere. I am just assuming that there are shipping companies that could accommodate you. I really don't know anything about shipping prices I just couldn't help but wonder once I read your post.
I can tell you from experience (I trailer my 31' express with flybridge) that trailering these boats is a hair-raising experience. >From the people I have talked to you can't be certain that every bridge is at least anything, much less 18'. I talked to a boat transporter when I was buying my boat and he told me that there was a bridge on I-95 in north Florida that truckers knew about that was only 16' or so. It's a good thing that you wouldn't be in the truck moving your boat, because you would be on edge the whole trip. By the way, my 31' express with the flybridge is just over 14' high on the trailer. That's with no venturi shield and the steering wheel off. I have a triple axle trailer and my rudders and props are probably only 10" off the ground.
