Go to http://www.yachtworld.com and click on the "Advanced Search"
link in the "Boat Search" box on the left  Enter "Uniflite" under the
maker name, minimum length 42, maximum length 60, then select the
relevant geographical areas by holding down the CTRL key and clicking
on the area name (I'd use Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest
and Great Lakes).  Then click "Search."

There are a couple of 46's in the mid-atlantic area, and a lot of
42's.  The 46 was a Pacemaker design that Uniflite acquired in 1980
when Pacemaker went out of business.

Personally, I love the 42 Double Cabin - 48 Yacht Fisherman.  The 48
is a 42 Double Cabin with a 6-foot cockpit extension.  They're
original Uniflite designs, very seaworthy and surprisingly fast given
their horsepower.  You'll want to avoid the years between late 1973
and about 1978-1979, which is when Uniflite had their blister
problems.

There's a 1972 42 Double Cabin in Maryland for $25,000, which is a
steal, but I suspect it needs tons of renovation.  Unusually for a 42,
it has twin gas engines, Chrysler 440's -- in my opinion the best gas
marine engine ever built, as Chrysler was the only manufacturer that
had its own marine engine division.  However, they're a little
overstressed shoving 35,000 lbs of boat around; most 42s and 48s had
Johnson & Towers/Detroit Diesel 6-71's, which are great engines.

Good luck.
