I would turn him in to the Better Business Bureau and maybe even contact
local authorities. I see that he does not have any address listed on his
website and he is not registered as a Non-Profit organization. Ouch. Sorry
man that sucks.

Subject: [UnifliteWorld] boating fraud

in november i was in the market for a propane stove, i found one in
the miami craigslist ads, i called and was greeted by john buettner of
WAVEMISSIONS.ORG, this is supposed to be a non profit, faith based
service, even though i was a bit on edge about sending $400 thru
western union, after looking over the web site and various phone calls
i decided to proceed with the transaction, i had sugested paypal but
was told they did not have a paypal account...
anyways, to make the story short, i never did see my stove, my phone
calls and emails were returned a few times for a couple of months
telling me my stove would be shipped... well, needless to say, all
contact ceased, my money was kept and thats the end of the story...
i did have a friend call and mention a boat she wanted to donate... it
only took 15 minutes for the call to be returned. this appears to be a
fraud, a simple way for MR buettner to finance his sailing at the
expense of others.
please pass the word around about this, we need to stop people like
him. after carefully looking at his website you will discover that the
links go nowhere...
Eric
