I built a shelf on the Bulkhead wall that separates the engine room from the
area where the water heater is located. The shelf is on the opposite side
from engine room. You enter this area by raising the steps in galley. I
mounted both my Battery Charger and Inverter on the shelf. The shelf is
about 1 foot off the floor. The bulkhead wall there makes a good place to
mount your inline fuses for the inverter. I used very large cables to run
from the battery to the inverter ( 0/0 cable size ) with a fuse panel in
between. Also this makes a convenient place to connect the battery charger
to the batteries. I connected the battery charger directly to the 0/0 cable
that runs to the batteries. The cable is about 6 ft ( battery to inverter
& charger ) You do not loose the floor space in that area and both are out
of the engine room.

Currently the Pro Mariner charger is in the engine room. It must be
ignition protected. The MS3000 isn't. So the engine room is out. I've
done some reading and the with the surrounding space ventilation
requirements, the helm station is out. I’m currently thinking about
under the kitchen cabinet near the engine room bulkhead.
