I don't know what the model you have is like but try either replacing it with a Sea Freeze from Bellingham, WA (expensive but worth it) or buy an external compressor for your current unit. I have a working compreesor which I removed when I replaced the old reefer with a new Sea Freeze. This compressor was the "fix" made by our boat's previous owner to the old reefer.
