Hi again folks. My wife just finished another update to our journal. I also saw the discussion on radios. I do agree with a good main unit with a good high mounted antenna, I have an Icom 304. I also as some said, have a good handheld for short range work and on our dinghy. And it would serve as an emergency radio in the event it becomes needed. I feel that both are required, and have never made a choice between them.
