Right on with the 10 Micron filters.

Also the gauges are pretty to look at if you have nothing else to do with
your money.

Subject: [UnifliteWorld] Re: high filter vacuum

I have a 42' converted to 48' with 6-71 nats. My set up does not have vacuum
guages however I have been advised to add them. I have been running my boat
for nine years now and the only fuel problems encountered was after we first
took ownership. The boat had not been in rough water for several years. Well
we really shook it up on the Jaun DeFuca straights.

First off we got poor info about Racor Filters and used the wrong ones.

After a little OJT we found out what to use.

We started with 30 micron flters of which should have been 10 micron.

Previous owner of old school liked the cannister type secondary of which
were awkward to change and messy.

We switched to the Detroit spin on adaptors and Detroit Spin on filters.

I finally changed my Racors last summer after 5 years feeling guilty I had
not given them any attention. The spin-ons have been in place for over
6years and are still going. Whe still have four unused 10 Micron Racors and
4 unused 2 Micron Detroit's on the shelf awaiting to be used.

About the Vacuum Guages, I am not covinced they are even needed, but that
is just my opinion.

There are others that will argue or say I do not know what I talking about.

It all works for me.
