We've taken engines in and out of several Aft Cabin boats 36's & 42's
including other makes just don't remember window size on 36'
We go through the windows by making a track using starboard reinforced on
two steel beam attachments to our fork truck, inside we have a tube
A-frame with straps over the top going down to a comealong secured to the
stringers like having a pulley at the headliner height. The straps take the
load
once over top of where you drop the engine down and then remove the
track/forks and lower the engine -rinse and repeat If the engine is too tall
as
in some in-lines you can turn it on it's side. Remove all oils if
necessary. Railing has to be moved away on some boats including 36. We've
done the
door way piece by piece also, but it depends on engine size. I might do it,
but I think I have the engines/transmissions sold and its a lot easier not
to have to take em apart, the doorway is only 21 1/2 inches wide, that I
remember

Thanks
