roger, i am out of town for a couple of weeks, but when i return, i plan to
take some photos, and will send them to you. I was so bummed out about the
problem, I decided to just get it out of my mind for a while. Reality is now
beginning to sink back in. Fortunately the season is mostly over, so there is
little urgency.
Do you have any idea what a typical repair might cost me? the boat [and it's
owner] are now both getting pretty old, and i have to keep that in mind.
Thanks for your help.
alex

Alex. Could you send a picture to see what is going on with your
exhaust system.Having worked on these engines for 30 years I might be
able to figure out the problem, For Mike Mc Cartney you will probably
be replacing more than one piston and rod assembly once the cylinder
head comes off. From past experience it usually is the case. Just a
thought for you. Also send picture of what you have and we can take a
look.
Regards
Roger
