I thought mine was mahogany also. The previous owner used lemon oil which over
time gathered dirt and caused the wood to darken to a mahogany color.

Murphy oil soap and a sponge will take off most of the dirt but leave the color
brighter, but still mahogany colored. If you use a scrubby pad you can get
back to the original teak with repeated washings, but then you will need to do
the whole boat and old irremovable satins may appear.

I have used Liquid Gold to maintain without build up for over 20 years. Just
spray on and let soak in. Several applications may be needed at first, and
then once per season after that.

If you stay with the Mahogany color and need some repairs, raw wood showing
etc. Minwax has a mahogany gel stain that work real well, put it on and wipe it
off quickly. Repeat until you get the darkness you need. It does not soak in
fast like a liquid so you can control it. It's not exact but close.

 Thanks

Rich Z

Thanks for the replys. I'm pretty sure I have the mahogany paneling
(it's honey color) with a semi gloss finish. The teak interiors are
darker, richer in color and that nice teak smell is not coming from my
panels.
