I too had trouble with water coming into the bow through the anchor
cabin. Mine occurred when I was running (below planing speed) by water
coming back up the little drain hole in the locker. I finally stopped
it by installing a small check valve.

Also it can occur if the drain hole is clogged with rain /water coming
in through the chain hole in the front deck. Seems to be a design
flaw.

I couldn't win . If the hole was clogged rain water would overflow and
enter the front cabin. If it wasn't sea water would would back up
through it and enter. The check valve worked finally.
