Chris: former answers are totally correct, you should look for valves. These will be in the fuel lines somewhere in your engine compartment. They're ball valves, and have a handle about 4 inches long on them. When the handle is in line with the direction of the fuel line, the valve is open. When turned 90 degrees so the handle is across the line, the valve is closed. One valve for each tank, plus a crossover valve that blocks the engines from drawing from both tanks. I agree with hmatthie, keep the crossover closed and both tank valves open and run each engine from its own tank - unless you run one tank dry, then close the valve for that tank, open the crossover and draw from the other tank.
