Kerry: if you are using coolant and are white smoking then the engine has a blown head gasket. This will require the cylinder head to be removed and the liners checked. The one with the blown head gasket might have to be shimmed up as it has probably dropped down in its bore which has caused the head gasket to lose its sealing against the cylinder head and the combustion has eaten into the o-ring at the coolant passage. Not a big job but will require some hours of labor to repair. Don't be surprised if the liners are scored and your engine might need an inframe. If the hours are high this might have to be done. Just some advice on what could happen and try Tri-County diesel in Bellingham as they are near you I believe.
