Dear Gord, I'm a very heavy Facebook user. However I do not see that format lend itself to the detailed discussion and maintenance tips that have made the Goggle Groups based board such a lifeline to all of us Uniflite owners. We are a dedicated fan base of UnifliteWorld users.
Sharing a growing knowledge base that is available here is cool. Please do not turn it off. If you want to populate the new facebook section by summarizing the most relevant data on some topics... Windows, Blisters, Wiring, Diesel Engines, Gas engines, Outdrives, Fuel Tank polishing, deck support, and many other places/topics where we have all shared numerous nuggets of data. It is almost a wiki of sorts. The Facebook thing will sort some but will it sort the above into your "discussions" very well? Not able to build in photos into those discussions. Etc. (or can you change the settings in Fbook?) Maybe it would be better if you rebuilt your nice Uniflite World web site with "wordPress" or "Joomla!" "Drupal" to give the better layout and usability of the message board with photos and editing AND features that multiple people can add to. Would not take that much. http://www.templatemonster.com/drupal-themes/27544.html - would be a simple format in Drupal. Then you can do your own message board that your members can add to and keep it alive and flexible. Just an idea to explore before you give up to much to your new "Facebook" recreation. I have been enamored with it until lately when it was clear that the were selling off data via the marketing side of their service. 5 real live friends have turned off all Facebook connection. Such privacy concerns are real. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UnifliteWorld" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
