Kerry, mine is a 1984 and actually called an SE II, so this information may be different. You can take a look to see if it makes sense. I am not at my boat right now to confirm the wires.
My wiring diagram shows that at the Flybridge the wires are: STBD Tack: Contact "S", wire is GY (that's Gray); contact "G" is ground; contact "I", wire is Y/V (yellow/violet) and W/O (white/Orange) for the alternator indicator light (my tacks are driven by the alternators) and there is a V (violet) wire connecting the "I" contacts of the tack, the Oil Pressure gage and the water temp gage. On the Port Tack: the drawing shows the same as the STBD except the contact "I", the wire from the Port Alternator Indicator Light to contact "I" is V (violet), the wire from below to the light is W/O. The STBD may be the same and the V was omitted. The difference is noted by "tape marking" the wires for the Port (that is, those wires have tape marking them as wires for the Port engine, instruments, etc. That convention is used throughout the drawing. This information is for the "42 E and the 38 Convertible, Dual Station DC Electrical System, 3208 Cat & 8.2 Det. Dsl." so like I said the info may not be applicable. Hey there, Anyone have a 42' ACMY that can help me out? I have a 77 and some clown tore about my fly bridge to re-gelcoat it. He took the hefty deposit money and took off. Of course they didnt label anything. The have been able to get the majority of it pulled back together but I have a ton of wire left and am trying to figure out which ones are the Tachometer wires. If you have the original wires still please send me a note. I promise it wont take much. :) Thanks, Kerry-- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "UnifliteWorld" group.
