I used tack strips right up to the outside edges and then used the edge for
a razor cut. When that was done I installed the tack strip and padding to
the hatches in a similar manner, stretched and overlapped the hatch carpet
and cut it down the gap. Came out great. I followed the previous installers
method of stapling the entire edge very tightly. We'll see how it holds but
I'm guessing well. . The industrial stapler was a must with tiny 20 gauge
staples which hold really well and disappear in the carpet. When you go to
do it I'd be happy to show you what I learned.
