same for 2.6.12.2 and unionfs-1.0.14 (next: unionfs-1.0.13).
Here is a demonstration of the described effect. I created 500 files
from 1 ... 500:
(hostname) [/data/merged/SHIT] ls -1 | head -1
This is a very long pathname to test unionfs here we go 1
(hostname) [/data/merged/SHIT] ls -1 | wc -l
59
(abortium) [/data/merged/SHIT] ls -1 /data/.data0/SHIT/| wc -l
502
