Hello all , I am Chaitanya A. Ralegaonkar, student from India. I got your id from fistgen mailing list and have some query regarding FiST.
I am working on RH - 9 ( 2.4.20-8 ), P - III, and fistgen 0.1
I am trying to combine two file systems viz. gzipfs and cryptfs
I have following queries regading this ..
I did mount both f/s.
After doing Ls, CAT, etc on the directory the dmesg shows certain things.
1> In " dmesg " what is meaning of IN, OUT, PD, CI.
2> why some entries are prefixed with hidden, what is hidden ?
3> If I want to combine these two file systems in order compression
followed by encrption , how to do it ?
4> How does VFS converts generic system call from user to a file
system specific call ??
Does it use u.genericsp from struct super_block ??
Or it uses i_op field from struct inode ??
I am not sure but I guess whether same technique can be used
here as this also involves calling one f/s from other !!
