I just checked this with Ben. It is not true that the phone should ever complain "No data sources available", or "No videos recorded today", or anything ridiculous like that.
This is surprising only for the few who have already used an Ubuntu phone, so they're used to the previous behavior, but they haven't used it since last flashing. That is, mainly testers. This is an intended change in behavior, not something that should be reverted. ** Changed in: ubuntu-ux Status: Fix Committed => Won't Fix ** Changed in: libusermetrics (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Unity API bugs, which is subscribed to libusermetrics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1514326 Title: There is no text in the circle on lock screen in new flashed device Status in Ubuntu UX: Won't Fix Status in libusermetrics package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: current build number: 167 device name: krillin channel: ubuntu-touch/rc-proposed/bq-aquaris.en last update: 2015-11-09 03:46:35 version version: 167 version ubuntu: 20151106.1 version device: 20150821-736d127 version custom: 20150925-901-35-40-vivid Steps: 1.Flash the device to 167 virsion 2.Complete the welcome wizard 3.Lock the screen and then press the power key to light up 4.Check if there is any text in the circle Expectation: There should be like"No videos recorded today/No photos taken today" in the circle Actual results: There is nothing in the circle ------ UX comment ----- please revert the change done as result of this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity8/+bug/1286276 For the time being, there should be a message "No data sources available" on first use To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1514326/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~unity-api-bugs Post to : unity-api-bugs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~unity-api-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
