Maybe there's something I'm missing here, but I think there is no comparison
to Melanie and Brian buying a building and bringing a restaurant to West
Philly and McDonalds coming to 43rd and Market St. I've known Melanie Lamond
for over 12 years; it is rare to find someone more committed to our
neighborhood; rare to find someone who has put in more hours and done more
good for the neighborhood. There is room in West Philly/University City for
the anarchist kids and also for buildings getting fixed up; I think
intimidation and name-calling are way way out of line. I say kukos to
Melanie and Brian for fixing up buildings out here while continuing to fight
for the good of everyone who lives here.
