RE: Christmas Concert & Carol Singing

Dear Neighbors,
Choir member, Venus Murphy, requested that news of the concert be
disbursed as widely as possible.
Anyone who has heard the Choir and Organ of Saint Francis De Sales knows
the pleasure that can be derived from a performance. Many are aware that
it is often "STANDING ROOM ONLY" at the 11 PM Carol Concert on Christmas
Eve. Now, at a time convenient for children and parents, the SFDS
Chorale plans a concert with Carol Singing. Their goal is to solicit
donations toward the restoration of the Organ. Please consider making a
holiday "date" of the event.
There is probably no more common cultural heritage than holiday song.
People my age can create a "family day" by inviting the kids and parents
to brunch with a grand finale at the concert.
Couples might want to attend the concert and move on to dinner.
Busy folk, who find it almost a chore to stay awake until 11 PM, can
enjoy the annual Christmas music without loss of sleep.
Folks who are new to the neighborhood can enjoy their first experience of
The magnificent architecture and decoration at St. Francis De Sales
The outstanding voices of the Chorale, including
a Cecilia Chaisson, our Pavarotti Award winning Soprano and
several other talented professional musicians
The internationally recognized skill of our organist, Bruce Shultz.
The forum which Eugene Ormandy chose for some of his finest recordings.
Donations will help restore the SFDS pipe organ, which is one of the
largest and finest in the world.
If the event is well attended, the Chorale may be persuaded to make this
an Annual event.
