Personally, I feel Philadelphians should be able to search for
property by owner name over the Internet.  Pittsburgh allows its
citizens to search for property by owner name. So does Montgomery
County.  So why not Philadelphia?

Unfortunately, certain city officials, BRT Chairman David Glancey and
DA Lynne Abraham among others are dead set against it.

So for the time being at least, if you want to search for property by
owner name you will need to contact me for a hallwatch account.  I
don't like running my site this way--it's a lot of extra work for me,
but the alternative would be not allowing *anybody* to access this
info.

If you think the public should have easy access to public information,
then tell the Mayor & City Council!  You can do so here:
