I wholeheartedly believe that one street only ought to be a bike-only road straight to center-city.. But.. We are helpless to enforce current traffic rules.. Look around our neighborhood.. Notice how many drivers in UC lack drivers licenses, inspected/insured vehicles and/or basic common sense. These same fools would be the ones driving 55mph on the bike-only street, the same way they drive in our existing "bike" lanes and streets. Also, i seriously doubt that our good "friend" jannie blackwell would support such a measure. She can't even get her constituents vote right for clear-cut issues, such as the billboard bill.. We're legally helpless as citizens of UC, its time to admit it. :( _M. -- Michael A.
